As you all know by now, I am returning from a very long blogging hiatus. Coming back from a hiatus brings many challenges. I have to find a new schedule to fit my current life, I feel like I’m rediscovering my blogging voice, and I’m even still figuring out exactly what kind of content brings me joy to write. On top of all the personal rediscovering, I have to find my way back into the blogging community. Everyone is always so welcome whenever I return from a break, but it is very difficult to really feel like I’m truly back in the “good graces” of the blogosphere. I miss out on a lot when I take these breaks and it’s always so much to catch up on.
That’s why I am so thrilled that I discovered Pages Unbound 2022 Support Book Bloggers Challenge! She created this super casual year-long challenge in order to support and discover so many book bloggers out there. Each month has an unofficial challenge (since you can do these challenges in any order), where you complete a task related to reading and supporting other bloggers. It’s the perfect challenge for anyone who’s trying to commit more time to blog hopping and community reach, or people like me who are dipping their toes back into the blogging waters and need some guidance.
This is my official “I’m participating post“! I wanted to use this as a place to introduce the challenge if any of you would like to participate and to also keep track of my own progress. I’ll be listing the challenges below and checking them off as I complete throughout the year.

This is the first I’m hearing of this challenge, but it sounds like such a great way to get involved in the community!
Yes ,I agree! It seems like a great way to push myself to be more active in the community 🙂
Is there a way to import Bloglovin on my iPhone? It worked on my laptop but didn’t transfer to my phone. Bloglovin is on both.
Ahhh, I’m so glad you’re participating in this, Molly! I can’t wait to read your posts!
yay! I’m trying my best hahaha
This is awesome! I know exactly the feelings you’re talking about both in finding a routine and a blogging voice again, but also in finding your place in the community again. I was on hiatus on and off for the past 2/3 years and it was certainly daunting trying to come back as you do feel like a bit of an outsider. This challenge sounds like a great way to discover new blogs and also to help you feel like you’re part of the community again. I’d not heard of this challenge before and I’m wondering where it was a couple of months ago when I was first trying to find my feet with blogging again.
YES EXACTLY! I was trying to describe the feeling but I struggled so I’m glad you understood. It definitely feels like I’m an outsider and that I’ve basically started a whole new blog. Like everyone just forgot I exist hahah But hopefully I can break through again!
I hadn’t heard of this challenge before, but I love it!
It’s a great idea!
I have just come back after about a nine month hiatus and its good to hear I’m not the only one who drops in and out like this.
This challenge looks like just the sort of thing I need, thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Definitely not! I have taken many breaks from blogging. This is just one of the longest and the one where I actually have less time to blog even when I came back lol I don’t know why I do this to myself.
Well, it’s a hobby not a job, so do it as much or as little as you want, enjoy it.
This is something I need to tell myself too, as I do get a bit carried away sometimes.
I need to do this and respond more to the blogs I read. I also need to update my blog when I finish a book. Great idea.
Blogs are a lot of work! haha
I hadn’t heard of this challenge, but it sounds perfect! I’m coming back from a long hiatus as well. Good luck 🙂
