Bed Time Book Tag

bed-time-book-tag

I haven’t done a book tag in a while and this one just felt right. It’s fall, it’s (hopefully) going to be getting colder, and that just reminds me of lazy days in bed. So, here we are!

I found this tag from Lindsey at Bring My Books. Also, all the header graphics are by her as well! So, thank you, Lindsey 🙂

Also, also, I tag whoever feels like doing this!

sixofcrowsSix of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I knew this book was going to be good because I loved the Grisha trilogy, but it was more than good. It quickly hooked me and became a favorite the second I was finished. But I don’t think this one really needs an explanation for why I stayed up and finished it in a day 😀

unbecoming of mara dyerThe Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

This might be spoiler-ish (no specifics, but just a heads up). This book actually freaked me out for a good part of it. There was a lot of hints at the paranormal, but ghost-type of paranormal. And I was reading this at night, so yeah, it scared me a bit. Until I figured out what it was actually about.

whispersThe Whispers of the Fallen by J.D. Netto

I was so surprised that I didn’t like this one. I thought I was going to love it because of all the rave reviews and the premise seemed really interesting. It ended up boring me to death. I struggled so much getting through this one (because I read it prior to finally saying it was okay to DNF a book). This one just missed the mark for me.

midnightstarThe Midnight Star by Marie Lu

BECAUSE DUH. I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS ENDS NOW.

gotbookI don’t have “book boyfriends”, so I’m changing this to “who would you want to be friends with” or “dream friend” and I’m going to try to pick a slightly unorthodox one.

Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin)

He likes to drink and is a sarcastic asshole sometimes. It would be so much fun to just hang out with him (when all the craziness isn’t happening).

thgThe Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I’m going to have to agree with Lindsey on this one — I would never want to live in a world like The Hunger Games. First off, the politics and economics are terrible. But then add-on top of that the fear of maybe being chosen to fight to the death. No, thank you.

acomafA Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

This book wasn’t one of my favorite books of the year, I did enjoy it, though. One of the biggest reasons it wasn’t one of my favorites was that end. It wasn’t only a cliffhanger, it was just unsatisfying. While I do want to know more, and I will be reading the next book, I’m so upset that it took over 600 pages to build up to the end of this one.

tyeThe Young Elites by Marie Lu

The colors, the sky, it’s literally night-time on a book cover.

None — yeah, I have no answer for this one >.<

lotUruk-hai (The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien)

This one was actually kind of hard for me. I don’t think I’ve read a lot of books that have legit monsters in it. So, I thought of the first creepy literary creature: Uruk-hai. Although they’re creepy because of the movie for me, but let’s just roll with this.

Love this!! I need to do more tags. BUT…I wouldn’t be able to answer a lot of these. I agree with you about the Hunger Games, though! *shivers with the thought*

I really love doing tags but I rarely do them >.< And yeah, THG would be a terrible world to live in lol

Great tag! Like Lauren, I wouldn’t be able to answer a lot of these questions but I think I’m going to try anyway. Ha!

I wouldn’t want to live in The Hunger Games either.

I’d love to see it when/if you give it a try!

YESYES please read Six of Crows immediately ;P haha

This is a fantastic tag! I still haven’t read Six of Crows.. Definitely wouldn’t want to run into Uruk-hai’s. Anywhere. Ever. Having to go through the Hunger Games (especially twice) would be an absolute nightmare. Dyyyyyyyyyying for the Midnight Star!

We can’t be friends until you read Six of Crows. Kbye. <3

The Unbecoming doesn’t scared to go to sleep, but it does make me paranoid to go out at night! I expect to found some dead carcass and Jude lurking around my house *shivers* Tyrion would be a really great boyfriend! He’s a womanizer, but once he found one that he loves… DUH<33

    • Reply Molly 10/12/2016 at 4:50 pm

Yeah, it was more when I thought it was going to be a ghost story that it freaked me out hahah then I realized it wasn’t a ghost story. For Tyrion, I changed the prompt to be “best friend” haha BUT I can see that as well! lol

Six of Crows seems to get a lot of love, must be pretty good. Maybe I need to try those. And I agree about that Young Elites cover… and The Midnight Star has an amazing cover too.
