Movie Trailer Reactions

Let’s talk about movie trailers! Sometimes trailers are the best part of going to the movies (okay, not the best, unless the movie you’re seeing ends up being REALLY bad — but they are pretty fun). I love to lean over to my husband and give a thumbs up or thumbs down to each trailer.

So, why not bring that to you guys? These are my first impressions to some recent movie trailers (some we’ve all seen, maybe some that are new, or some that I never even heard of until “researching” for this post). This is super informal. I’m not trying to analyze these, I will just give my pure, initial thoughts.

And I want you guys to do the same! Whether its for these trailers or some that I didn’t include. What are your thoughts on some recently released trailers? Are some just insanely stupid to you? Do some have you saying “TAKE MY MONEY”? Let me know 🙂

*PS: You kind of have to watch the trailer while reading my reactions because that’s how I structured it. They’re my thoughts throughout the trailer.

Bad Moms

• My girlfriend and my husband’s girlfriend is in this movie (Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell). So like, duh I’m watching this.
• Oh! Christina Applegate!
• Mom mid-life crisis. I dig it.
• Okay, okay, it looks a little funny. But I’ll probably wait for on demand.
• Most importantly: Mila Kunis is in it.

Sausage Party

• Just, wtf, the title.
• Omg, way to make me feel guilty for eating my food.
• Now all the children are going to think food has feelings, or wakes up in the middle of the night and tortures them
• WHAT. THE. FUCK.
• DAYUM girl, hips don’t lie

Assassin’s Creed

• Video game + Michael Fassbender = YES.
• I don’t know if I like that weird contraption they made the Animus into.
• This song, though, it’s an interesting choice
• It actually looks like they did a really good job at the climbing/jumping like in the video game.
• He better land in a haystack, though

Anthropoid

• Hey, it’s Christian Gray
• And Peaky Blinders guy
• Ohhhh, a WW2/Nazi story. I can get into this
• Hey! Is this secretly a Captain America movie?
• Sounds like they’re saying Hydra. Just sayin’
• Ok, ok, I know they’re not. I just thought it was funny.
• I like it.

• All I saw was Horror in the title so I clicked it
• Hmm…weird cult thing?
• Rob Zombie?
• I KNEW IT WAS ROB ZOMBIE
• Oh, this one is going to be weird as fuck
• And gory
• Buuuuut, I don’t know. Might pass on this one. Seems like a Hunger Games + Saw + Purge kind of deal

Equals

• Dude, Bella. Where have you been
• Oh, has a The Island vibe to it
• If you haven’t seen that movie, go watch it
• Like, literally, it’s The Island

Ghostbusters

• Because there is so much controversy. But, I’m going to be honest, while I have seen the original movie it was a long ass time ago and I remember absolutely nothing from it. So maybe I won’t think this trailer is terrible?
• Ok, the ghosts look a little cheesy. Is that on purpose?
• I really didn’t have many reactions during that. I was a little distracted by how meh all the ghosts were — visual effects wise. If that’s on purpose, alright cool. If not, then I can see why people (the ones complaining about the visuals) aren’t into it.
• Otherwise, I don’t see what the big fuss was about

Beauty and the Beast

• Of course, I was going to do this one. Gosh, guys, who do you think I am?
• I love the visuals. So pretty!
• Oh, Emma, your sweet voice
• Wait, is this like a “modern” Beauty and the Beast? She had a trendy pinky ring on. I’m probably wrong. Don’t listen to me
• BUT GIVE ME MORE
• OKAY DUH I’M SEEING THIS

Rogue One

• Also, of course, I’m going to do this trailer too
• Also, also, Darth Vader is confirmed to be in this movie!
• YAAA. Ninja
• Gosh, they’re making this look/sound so epic

Okay, I think that’s quite a few xD What did you guys think? Any trailers here that got you wanting to see the movie? Any different reactions than mine?
