I recently saw Rissi from Culture Characteristics post about the books she’s unhauling, calling it Spring Cleaning. I absolutely loved the idea! I have so many books I’ve already unhauled and probably even more that I need to reconsider taking up space on my shelf. One thing I’ve already done is started a PangoBooks storefront.
If you don’t know what PangoBooks is, it’s an online bookshop where people like you and me can easily sell our books! It’s super streamlined and simple to use. All I have to do as a seller is upload my books and give them a price. When someone buys it, the buyer pays shipping and Pango Books does most of the work in the background. I just need to ship the book in a timely manner! That’s it! If you haven’t checked them out yet, it’s an easy way to sell books if you don’t want to invest too much time with other ways to sell (like Facebook groups).
Anyway, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to share some of the books I already have listed for sale! So here are 10 books I’m unhauling! (As a bonus, I’m selling all but 2 of these for $5 or under [USD])
CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE – PangoBooks ($3) – Honestly, I wanted to read this one. But it is so long and daunting. I actually did start it but wasn’t really feeling it. Now it’s been years, so I figured I’d pass it along to someone who might actually read it!
DEFY THE STARS – PangoBooks ($5) – This is another one that I just haven’t started. I actually bought this one so far back I can’t even remember when. I was going through a sci-fi/ya space phase. Clearly, I moved to a new phase before I got to this one as it has just been collecting dust.
GODDESS IN THE MACHINE – PangoBooks ($5) – This book came in a previous Owlcrate box (so it has beautiful gold edges). I did start this one but it was shortly after I watched Cloud Atlas and it had too many similarities for me. I haven’t opened it since.
A SONG OF WRAITHS AND RUIN – PangoBooks ($3) – I might actually read this one day, but I’ll get it as an e-book or from the library. Right now, I’ll pass it along.
THE ICE DRAGON – PangoBooks ($8) – I really don’t know why I haven’t read this as it’s so short and I love the cover so much. But since it’s sat on the shelf for years, I listed it. Now I’m kind of second guessing that decision 😆
READY PLAYER ONE – PangoBooks ($3) – I got this to read before the movie came out, then the movie came and went, and I never even opened this. I didn’t like the movie enough to give the book a try. Maybe that’s blasphemy. Don’t hate me.
THE DATING PLAN – PangoBooks ($5) – I truly don’t know why I chose this as my BOTM. I have absolutely no interest in it.
ACE OF SHADES/KING OF FOOLS – PangoBooks ($5-$7 USD) – I actually did read Ace of Shades and I mostly enjoyed it. BUT the sequel has been sitting on my shelf for years and I’ve never had the desire to pick it up. So, off it goes!
WITCHY – PangoBooks ($4) – I just don’t love graphic novels and am not interested in this one. shrugs

So I went to follow you on Pango of course, and now I want all of your books. Because I do not have enough books that I want to get rid of myself, I need to buy someone else’s books that I DO NOT NEED bwhaha. I probably need to lower my prices on Pango, but I won’t lie, part of me is too lazy to go to the post office for under like, $8 😂 (Totally unrelated, but I see you have Swallow on there, and I hated that book more than any other book I have ever read, which is kind of impressive?)
hahahah my post office is just down the street. I just want to get rid of these dang books. They’re sitting in boxes taking up space! I never read Swallow, but I trust your opinion lol
I don’t mind selling books and listing (though on eBay it can be a bit time consuming!), I just wish I could find the “secret” to more consistent sales. It seems like I sell 3-5 things pretty close then won’t sell any for weeks ago. Someday maybe I’ll find the secret! Also, this post was fun!!! 🙂
GIRL SAME. I’ll randomly sell a few, then it’s crickets haha idk the trick. I just leave them there because why not for a few extra bucks? lol
